We came up with Chilli Coffee Syrup while doing a cooking video, and believe it or not, it was some delicious seafood that inspired us. We did some experimenting with the idea of a tingling-sweet that we could use for savoury cooking, and the end result is Tasty Mild – level 2 zing of D’Vine Chilli Coffee and Feisty Hot – with the level 5 POW of D’Grim Chilli Coffee. Then we added Chilli Coffee Syrup to fresh prawns to give a mouth-watering sweet/chilli/coffee flavour to an Australian favourite.
From there we’ve added Chilli Coffee Syrup to sweets, savouries, and of course beverages, including some spicy cocktails. And then for summer, we added our Chilli Coffee Syrup to freezing cold milk, for the best-ever WOW iced-coffee.
And then, craving something a little more desserty, and because we got lots of feedback for something with some zing-meets-sweet that doesn’t contain any coffee, we came up with D’Love, our new white chocolate, berry and chilli blend of syrup. As soon as we added this to our line up, we opened up an whole new direction in our chilli creativity.
